AN ‘OUT-GOING’ teenager who was stabbed to death in Slough on Tuesday has been named as Jane
Treasure.
The 19-year-old’s body was discovered by police at a home in Ledger’s Road, Chalvey shortly
after 7am.
A post-mortem examination today (Wednesday) revealed that Jane died from stab wounds.
At the time, officers were carrying out enquiries into an earlier attack where a 22-year-old man was
stabbed in nearby The Crescent. He is now stable at Wexham Park Hospital.
Emotional tributes have been pouring in for Jane.
A family statement released today, said: “Jane was a motivated, hard-working health care worker
and student. Jane had great ambitions to work abroad as a professional and had been a keen student
studying a National Diploma in Travel and Tourism. Jane had already attained several distinctions
and was a positive role model for her peers.
“Jane’s out-going nature and inherent sense of justice and fairness meant she shared wide
popularity with students, tutors, work colleagues, friends and family.”
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder and remains in police
custody this afternoon, where he is currently being interviewed by officers.

Hi Jane,
Aaron and i brought your mum a kitten for her birthday! we were deciding what to call it and im sure i heared your voice shout out "Call him Sid!" So your mum did! he is very close to your mum now and will only go to sleep on her lap not his bed!!
