AN ‘OUT-GOING’ teenager who was stabbed to death in Slough on Tuesday has been named as Jane
Treasure.
The 19-year-old’s body was discovered by police at a home in Ledger’s Road, Chalvey shortly
after 7am.
A post-mortem examination today (Wednesday) revealed that Jane died from stab wounds.
At the time, officers were carrying out enquiries into an earlier attack where a 22-year-old man was
stabbed in nearby The Crescent. He is now stable at Wexham Park Hospital.
Emotional tributes have been pouring in for Jane.
A family statement released today, said: “Jane was a motivated, hard-working health care worker
and student. Jane had great ambitions to work abroad as a professional and had been a keen student
studying a National Diploma in Travel and Tourism. Jane had already attained several distinctions
and was a positive role model for her peers.
“Jane’s out-going nature and inherent sense of justice and fairness meant she shared wide
popularity with students, tutors, work colleagues, friends and family.”
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder and remains in police
custody this afternoon, where he is currently being interviewed by officers.

jane i cant believe its been a year today. its scary no way does it feel like you have been gone for a year. if i saw you right now things would be exactly the same theres no time lost between us i just cant believe i have 2 get through the rest of my life without you it scares me so much to think like that so i try not too. jane everyone misses you so much, god the day you left, this massive gaping hole lies open, and no matter how everyone tries to get on we all know that it lies open so painfull its 2 hard. we all know that it is never going to fully heal, thats the worst feeling in the world. but the only thing we can do is try 2 get on were all trying to help each other. jane im so happy for all the years i was blessed with having you as my best friend you haved truely made me into the person i am today. thank you for everything you have ever taught me. i love you xxx
